Midlands air festival 2025

For the first day of the show, I was outside, right under the display line. For some shots, such as the Lancaster and Sabre, I stepped a few hundred metres into the light for some side on and topside passes.

For other displays, such as the Red Arrows, I decided to only take pictures of particularly dynamic passes as they banked overhead. For the majority, however, I did not take pictures as it was quite a spectacle to witness them banking overhead at a very low altitude.

For me, the highlights were the Sabre and Ready 4 Duty, in its lovely colour scheme making it very easy to photograph.

For the second day of the show, I went inside the show. Although the lighting was much more challenging, it was a nice trade-off with being closer to the action.
